Exhibition Opening Night - Barcelona
Thanks to everyone who came down for a fun and succesful opening night of 'We Used To Do It Out In The Park' at BienCuadrado Galeria in Barcelona last Friday.
The exhibition features my resin works, some large 3D text pieces and was also the official release of a limited edition photo-print run of my street installation works.
I am calling the series 'It Was All A Dream'. they are A3, signed editions of 100, printed on museum quality Hahnemuehle Photo Rag® Ultra Smooth paper. They can be purchased for €90.00 each (unframed - p&p not included) directly from myself, from the gallery or from Base Elements.
Each text piece was made in the studio then carried to the location where it was shot with the help of experienced street art photographer Luz Martin. Luz was personally recommended to me by Martha Cooper of 'Subway Art' fame, and she has done an excellent job capturing the details, patterns, light and energy I needed for this project to be so succesful.
The exhibition itself was documented by good friend Eduardo Doors who managed to communicate perfectly the dynamic I wanted in this shot, with gallery, and street included in one image:
Here are more of Eduardo's images of the evening:
Finally a short video tour of some of the pieces in the show. The ambient music in this clip is from Wu Tang v's The Beatles, by Tom Caruana.
.
The exhibition runs until the 18th of August. If you can make it, let me know. If you have any questions or feedback, hit me up via the Contact form. Thanks again, I hope you like the work!
